Aid station food and amazing volunteers
Aid stations will be well stocked with food. We are proud to serve Gnarly drink. Food will be typical ultra-fare. Gnarly Fuel20/Limeade is mixed to be 100 calories per 13 ounces of water.
We like to choose a lot of grab and go foods. If you are picky you can have food in your drop bags. We aim to make sure you will find plenty to eat at the stations.

We will have first aid kits and sanitary pads at aid stations.
We are looking for Aid station host. This is a great opportunity for running clubs, local businesses, or groups of friends that want to spend some time on the beautiful trail. We will include a link to your run club or business on the website.
We supply all you need for the aid station. If you would like to buy extra goodies we can reimburse expenses.
We will assign aid stations once we have all our host signed up.
Meet our Aid station host:
GetUFit Nutrition-Iren Kok is the captain and GetUFit founder. Irene has been a fitness professional since 1997 and specializes in assisting people with improving their wellness on a multitude of all levels.
Functional Diagnostic Nutritional Practitioner, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Certified Nutritional Coach, Holistic Autoimmune Nutritionist, Author of Girlfriends’ Guide to Weight Loss
Carrie Hale- Business and Professional Consultant: Carrie is a experienced runner finishing distances all the way up to 100 miles. She has hosted aid stations at many races.
Angela Hugel- Dick Ponds Athletic they have been a long time supporter of the event. They host a Halloween themed aid station and an early packet pickup. Be sure to visit their store for all your running needs. We love supporting the local run stores!
Ilisa Bush- So excited to have her coming back as captain of the Trail Sisters Chicago Northwest & Alpine runners Aid station! They are experts at the Route 60 station.

Please take the time to thank all the volunteers for the generous time they provide to you and the race to ensure you have everything you need to succeed on race day.
FOOD OPTIONS
As much as possible, we will be serving pre-packaged snacks. In addition to a variety of sweet and salty items these aid stations will have the following specialty items:

We follow the mixing guides per their recommendation. Will be dispensed via coolers or pitchers depending on aid station. Water dispensed the same way.
OTHER ITEMS
Will include a robust selection of sweet and salty items. Also, grilled cheese at Adler. Refried bean wraps at Old School. Turkey wraps at Gowe. Bananas, Soda, cookies, candy, variety of chips, PB&J wraps, dill pickles, fruit and more at select aid stations.

Trail Sisters Approved - We will have menstrual products available at aid stations.
*************CUTOFF TIMES
Due to our contract with the permitting body we will be strictly enforcing the cutoff times. You must be at these inbound aid stations by the designated times (This goes for anyone across all distances) or we will have to pull you from the race. If this is you, please do not give anyone a hard time about it. Maybe make sure to carry a phone to call someone to pick you up. Shit happens, we get it, it’s nothing personal, it’s for everyone’s safety! We’re sorry in advance.
Wadsworth - 1 pm (50 Mile only - this is the 50 mile turnaround)
Gowe - 2 pm
Adler - 4 pm
Old School - 5 pm
Route 60 - 5:30 pm
Yellow Trail - 6:00 pm
Finish Line closes at 6:30 pm (ALL RACES - Yes, that means 1/2 marathoners get 9 1/2 hours to finish the race)
SPECTATOR VIEWING/CREW ACCESS/AID STATIONS
If your family or friends are at the race, then maybe provide a link to this page.
The best place for 50mile, 50K and Marathon spectators/crew to go are Old School Forest Preserve at the back of parking area A and behind Adler Park School. For Half Marathoners, there are no spectator viewing areas except the Start/Finish area.
Of course, family and friends can hang out at the Start/Finish area throughout the race. Remember, they must take the shuttle to get there.
